I went in with no idea what to expect. Brandy was very patient, kind and understanding. She even explained the process she was using to test everything. We talked the whole time. When I left, I felt like I had made the best choice in CGE. I was treated with respect and, when needed, kid gloves. Brandy knows what's she's doing and she's honest and pays a VERY fair price. I fully intend to continue doing business with her. I HIGHLY recommend Caprock Gold Exchange to anyone and everyone. There you are treated most favorably. I will be back there very soon. Thank you Brandy for helping me survive!

I made my first visit to Caprock Gold Exchange, fantastic experience. A+ on the customer service A+ on the pricing both buying and selling. Mrs. Judy is the bomb, and definitely enjoyed the conversation with Jay the owner. All of the conversations went as though we all knew each other for years. I will be going back to do business with Caprock Gold Exchange soon! Be Blessed

I came in today, July 23, 2025, with spot gold at $3,400 ATH, so I figured I could dispose of some gold jewelry that I no longer want. I brought in a Miami-cuban solid gold chain consisting of about $4,600 worth of gold (Overall weight 101g, ~42g of gold) . Even though we couldn't come to an agreement (their best offer was $3,200 or roughly 69.5% of spot), they were very transparent about their process and the costs associated with refining. They seem like genuine people, and it was a pleasant experience.

Before I went in to sell some silver, I did my homework. I checked the spot price, as well as the price for sterling. I had also weighed my items. After going thru the inspection process with a very nice lady, she selected the items that she decided to buy. She never told me the weight of the items, just made me a shockingly low offer. When I asked what they were paying today for silver, she rattled off the spot price then said, "but your items aren't pure." I said I know that, because I understand different purities of silver. But what price was her business paying for sterling per ounce? Per gram? What price were they offering me? She never answered, but her colleague chimed in and they both started double talking about the refiners and the need to refine unpure silver, blah blah blah. All I wanted to know was how much silver she was declaring to buy and and at what price per unit. I never got an answer. The closest I got was "we are giving 'close to' a dollar per gram." Finally she said "well, do you want to sell?" Since I had driven from out of town and was planning on using this money to buy Christmas gifts and Christmas dinner, I accepted an offer that was insultingly low. She never wrote a receipt or anything other than some numbers on a notepad. Mind you, I don't mind a business making a profit, but making over 50% is pretty ruthless. And no I didn't expect spot price on pure silver. But I don't think it is too much to ask to inform a seller of the price you are offering per unit of measurement. The whole transaction felt so unfair. And at the end of the day, I was not obligated to sell and I regret doing so. I left so discouraged and I'm kicking myself now for not refusing to sell. Pretty much ruined my Christmas. I don't expect there to be any remedy for me, but maybe this review will let others know what they can expect. *Edit: after some informal guidance, I did a little research on the state regulations that govern crafted metal purchasers in Texas. This all could have been avoided by simply following the rules that require an accurate record and receipt of all transactions, including proper description of the items being purchased, identification of the seller, and price offered and paid, by weight. These are nice people, and I don't wish them any trouble, but those regulations are there for a reason. Not only do they protect the business if someone sells stolen items, it also provides transparency to the seller so a business does not have people like me, feeling like I was duped. I don't even know if there's any remedy, because there is absolutely no record of my transaction. The lady simply handed me cash money and wished me a nice day.
