This is an antique shop that I've been coming to for years! It's where I go to get out of the house. The owners are very kind, friendly, and animal lovers. I always find something new that I didn't see last time! Great place to come out and explore!! Highly recommend this place.
As any with any vendor mall, they offer an eclectic mix of merchandise from antiques to almost junk. The building is vintage cool but the amount of buckets and barrels that shoppers need to avoid gives evidence of a roof that desperately needs repair.
So the appearance of this vintique mall is a little ominous... it is a tall brick building that sits up on top of a hill with a big fence around it. For me, it adds excitement to the entire adventure. There are quite a few stray cats that get fed at this place, so they usually hang out on the front porch. The building is practically endless period there are booths everywhere and yeah, it is a treasure trove for antique collectibles! I literally think that everything from the past can be found here. On this particular adventure, I was looking for a knob for an antique dresser drawer that I was refinishing. All I brought was a photo and the clerk was able to tell me exactly where to look. They didn't have the exact one, but there were several knobs that were perfect substitutes.
The best honey hole in Florence! Absolutely enjoyed my time at Thieves and found some treasures. Plan on being there for several hours, there is so much to look at!
This is a great antique store. This is the musty, dusty ,antiques stacked on top of antique -type store you want. There are not a bunch of "Aunt Dally's lotions" or "Betsy-Sue's candles" on shelves. This is the real deal, where you find old antiques covered in dust, and treasures under layers of dirt, waiting to be found by experienced antiques. HIGHLY rexommend.
