I am very pleased that I found the coin exchange. They have been nothing but friendly and professional throughout my dealings with them. Charlie was a pleasure to deal with and was very understanding. Thank you and I will be back again!

Good people, great inventory, fantastic pricing. I’m not sure why I would ever buy online again with their premiums and the cost of shipping. Charleston coin has a repeat customer in me!

Stopped by for the first time today to get another opinion on coins I was thinking of grading, to sell some gold jewelry, and buy some silver rounds. I read every bad review they have beforehand and I didn’t experience anything even close to those reviews. They honestly reviewed my coins and gave me great advice to take home with me for free. They gave me a more than fair offer for my jewelry (my acceptable number walking in was $15 below their offer) safe to say I sold what I brought in. When we were done, I checked out their inventory and even though the shop was packed with customers they still took the time to answer my questions about pricing and let me look through their silver rounds without rushing me. A+ experience…I will definitely be back! Mind you, they were not far off spot with their pricing. Very fair anyway you look at it! Thank you CCE!

If you're considering selling or buying metal the most important factor ought to be the integrity of the business you pick, even more than the price they'll offer. Integrity is tough to measure but I'll tell you how much this store has. I came in to sell items, among them a bracelet I was sure was silver that I inherited from my mother. I told Charlie it was sterling. He wasn't sure and went to test it. Now, an unscrupulous dealer would have come back and said I was right and paid me for a sterling bracelet. I never would have known. But Charlie came back and told me it was in fact 18k gold, worth well over $2,000. I will never consider using another local coin shop as long as Charleston Coin is in business and run like this. You shouldn't either.
