Just recently got back into the hobby of collecting coins and have known Fred for several years but not professionally. Therefore, I was most comfortable approaching Fred and asked him to assist my re-entry into coins. Please understand I was not disappointed! After reading some of his ratings regarding his business and expertise, I feel compelled to offer my own independent, honest and fair experiences with Fred and how he has helped me and several of my close friends in this specialized field. First off, I would describe Fred has a consummate gentleman who strives to put his customers at ease with the intent to offer them a most pleasant learning experience with collecting coins. The man is an absolute wealth of knowledge. One must understand that Mr. Beihl is a most confident and knowledgeable numismatist and if you are perhaps insecure in any way, you may initially feel intimidated. But this sentiment is unwarranted. Make no mistake, if you want to get educated and learn about the coinage you are buying or exploring, Fred is the man to help you. I have found him to be extremely trustworthy and although he is not necessarily the least expensive person to buy from, he will give you your moneys worth knowing you have not been misled and that you are paying for all the value you are receiving. His bullion purchases are most competitive if not the top of the market. I always give him the last word before making my purchasing decision because I value his advice. To purchase coins from the general public without Fred’s input is to do so at your own risk. Given the people willing to perpetrate scams and to counterfeit coinage is only one of the concerns I would have. He has given me expert advice with every consult and will do the same for you if you allow. You should also be aware that Fred will treat you the same whether you’re buying items under $100 or making purchases in excess of $10,000. Bottom line is that he is a terrific asset to have in your corner regarding expertise necessary to enter or remain in the coin marketplace. You will not be disappointed. It is also worth noting that he is most generous with his time and expertise . Accordingly, I highly recommend him because he has never given me a reason to go elsewhere for my purchases and numismatic expertise. Final summary : you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend him and consider Fred to be the absolute best local resource in the business.

I have been doing business with Fred for 25 years. He's a professional. He's competent, he has the latest equipment, he's knowledgeable of all the applicable laws and regulations. He has the contacts to get the best deals available. He's scrupulously honest, he follows thru with his business commitments and he keeps his word. He's prompt, ready to reach out and works hard to meet your schedules and priorities. I'm proud to recommend him.

I have done some buying and selling with Fred over the past few years. I would say his prices are very fair, he is knowledgeable, and is a genuine person that guides you through the bullion process. I would recommend and hope to do more business throughout the years.

Though my transactions were on the smaller side of what he typically deals with, Fred treated me the same as he does for someone making far larger purchases than I did. He is professional to deal with. He is very knowledgeable, honest and to the point, which I greatly appreciate. His pricing was fair and updated to the moment of purchase, exactly what I would have expected. I know that when I buy a coin or other item from Fred, I do not have to worry if I made the right decision. We will do business again.
