I brought in a large silver coin collection — Walking Liberty half dollars, Franklin half dollars, Kennedy halves, a vintage Engelhard silver bar, and more. I had already sold a small portion the day before at another shop and honestly expected to walk out with maybe another $500. When the owner finished going through everything and offered me $4,000+ — my jaw literally hit the floor. I was completely blown away. What really stood out was how transparent and knowledgeable he was. He went through every coin, explained exactly what each one was worth, and was upfront that he buys at 75% of retail. No games, no lowball surprises — just honest, straight-up dealing from someone who genuinely knows their stuff. If you have coins, silver, or gold sitting around collecting dust, bring it here BEFORE you go anywhere else. Five stars isn't enough!

I had some old coins that I wanted to get rid of so I went there to sell them. Nicest guy you ever meet. He looked at my coins and me a very good price, so I sold them. I would recommend him if you need to sell or buy coins. I won’t go to any other place in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about George or my experience at Pennies, Pounds and Pesos. If you have coins, do not trade them in at a metal dealer, jewelry store, or a "we buy silver and gold" place. George will be honest with you, and if the coins are worth more as coins rather than melted down, he will give you a fair price. If they are simply worth the melt down cost, he'll give you a fair price for that too. And if they happen to simply be worth face value, he'll even take them in rather than you having to go to the bank to deposit them. I have been selling a lot of things at a lot of different places lately, and George is honestly the only one that I actually felt I could trust.

I have been going to George for several years. In addition to his knowledge about the hobby, his general history is great. He also offers fair pricing when he is buying. Great place for the novice as well as the experienced.
