Had my first and last trip here. Never felt so unwelcome before. Felt like I was bothering the person there.

Went here one time and will never go back again. The guy working there was very rude and disrespectful. I believe it was actually the owner. Prices are very high. I know other people who have said the same thing. I would not recommend anyone to shop here. Don't even waste your time. There are so many other places in Central Pa that are far better to spend your money at. A couple of places I deal with are Ken's coins in Linglestown, and Eckenrode is another good place a little pricey but will buy and sell no matter what spot is at or doing. KEN'S is my go-to for the best price around 90% of the time. I don't normally waste my time writing 1-star reviews, but this place was so bad that I feel compelled to make sure people are aware. Do not make the mistake I did and waste your time with this place. If I could give a lower rating, I would! The photos are just a few of the pieces that I picked up from Ken's. This place lost on a bunch of money that just walked right out of their door. I hope this review is helpful to other stackers and collectors. Cheers 🍻

Driving through Lemoyne I spotted this store and decided to stop. There were two gentlemen outside enjoying cigars, and as I approached the front of the shop, they stopped me to ask what I was looking for. They seemed guarded, but they opened up when I told them I was looking for vintage philatelic collectibles. I chatted with one gentleman while the other stepped inside to grab a flyer. When he returned, he explained that he has some things I might be interested in, but they are not on site, and asked that I give him a call in a week. All of this is fine at face value, but what rubbed me the wrong way was how I was greeted when I arrived, and the general tone of the rest of the interaction. Right at first sight, before I had even spoken a word to them, they stopped me from going into the store. The rest of the conversation felt more like an “interview” for them to judge whether I was worth their time as a customer. Just the demeanor… I felt like I was being spoken down to or sized up, not welcomed as a fellow collector or enthusiast. Ultimately, although the fellow out front did invite me to contact him in a week, I was never allowed into the store - this entire interaction took place outside and I never got the chance to look inside. Again, just an overall unwelcoming experience. These gentlemen clearly have knowledge and experience, but it is my assessment that they are unwilling to share that wisdom with the next generation of collectors. Maybe steer clear of this place if you’re under 50. Update: based on the response from the business, it is clear that management at the shop is not open to learning from customer experience or feedback. Reviews at this shop consistently mention rudeness. If it wasn’t ageism, as the shops response suggests, then I can only assume the unwelcoming attitudes must be a universally applied protocol here. If the person I met was not the owner, it might serve the owner well to choose better representatives for their business. Review downgraded to one star.

There is a reason that this shop gets 1 star as the most common review. I read the other comments and they're all true. From the cigars, to the arrogant and rude attitude, to the watching me (the lone customer) like a hawk, to the small size, garbage inventory, unwelcoming attitude, and high prices. It's shocking that this guy is in business. I was there a few months ago and can say that there is nothing any collector of sports cards or antiques or jewelry or coins or stamps will find interesting in this place. The whole time, he bragged about how much amazing and valuable inventory he has, but it's not available to buy. Make that make sense. Seriously, what is he so angry about and how is he in business?

Known these guys for about 25years,I've bought and sold even maybe a trade, never even from the 1st or to the last visit did I get rudeness or a bad vibe from Noone in that business. As in anyone with an inventory like the one they have a little skepticism is warranted on their behalf, feeler questions are common place,as many good characters that walk in there, there just as many bad ones. I've always been treated fairly and if I felt I wasnt and thought I could get a better deal elsewhere they never treated me any different that day or the next time. They know the market, and they do treat you as an individual as well as your treasure.
