Ken's Coins Currency & Stamps

He is rude, disorganized and does not look at coins correctly. He is only looking for silver content. Which is weighed and then offers below market pricing to customers. He is never available during his stated hours. Beware

Poor businessman skills. Been here twice when the site says open. During normal business hours. Update your site, or come to work.

You need to be very careful with this individual you take coins into him and he will look at them and he won't tell you what they're worth and he knows what they're worth and he'll steal them from you be very very careful never I repeat never go in there and just say how much are these worth he'll give you the face value of some of these coins he won't even tell you why and then you find out later that the coin you gave him was worth a lot of money so essentially what he did was stole from you

Ken is very knowledgeable and helpful and kind, if he does not have something he can get it for you, every time I call he answers his phone and I ask when he will be in the store and he is there.

I reached out to Ken via text and Facebook about having some currency evaluated. I didn’t receive a response to my text inquiry or my Facebook message, so I called into the shop. Ken asked me to text him some photos, so I did, but again he never responded. I understand he may not have been interested in purchasing my lot, but I was looking for an evaluation, no to sell. When I reached out to Ken one more time and directly asked him for a response, he finally responded and advised me to just spend my currency. I’m glad I didn’t take that advice, because another currency shop just paid me over $1000 for the $1 bills Ken advised me to spend at face value. The reason for my negative review is not because Ken was wrong about the value of my currency. Everyone makes mistakes. I am leaving a one star review because Ken was dismissive on the phone and couldn’t be bothered to respond to written messages on any platform. I did not feel welcomed when I tried to do business with this shop. Currency collecting is such a complex and interesting world. There is so much to learn and so many reasons why something might hold interest. I know pros like Ken have been in the game for a long time and I have so much respect for the knowledge that comes along with immersing yourself in your craft. I just wish that the pros of currency would be more welcoming to the next generation interested in learning.
