Called to make an appointment twice before, and yet to receive a call back. Usually I give 3 strikes and you're out but I just went ahead and found another lcs/bullion dealer to work with. One of which allows walk-ins, and the other which answered my call right away.. If you are selective about your customers that's fine, I have been studying silver stacking, and coin collecting for quite a bit now and know how some coin shops run. However due to the lack of receiving any call back on my behalf and other with other shops around, I'm happy to take my money and invest it in precious metals elsewhere. Don't wish no ill will on this shop or anything just hope you guys do better in getting back to your local customers in the future.

Having no previous experience with selling gold and silver, I was fortunate to be directed to this family business. They are friendly, honest, and have made each transaction stress free. The patriarch of the family is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to precious metals. I would recommend this business to anyone who it looking for experts in this area that they can trust.

I was very grateful my mother found this fair, friendly, and knowledgeable dealer to work with when she decided to liquidate her large collection of coins. We learned a lot from the experience thanks to their patience in explaining evaluations. I couldn’t be happier with how easy and (for us) convenient this place is. We were able to make appointments around our tight timeline (needed two visits because of the sheer volume) and everything was as efficient as possible. This family business is a huge asset to the region! I will always go to Hipps & Sons in the future and will tell all my friends.

I was looking for a place to sell my father's old coin collection he had stowed away for years. Through my interest as a child I had some very basic knowledge of coins, but not enough to really value what was in the collection. I found Hipps and Sons through some research on the Internet and the business sounded like a reliable one to get a valuation on the collection. They certainly met and exceeded my expectations, both in the service provided and the actual value of the collection itself. We actually had to make two appointments thus far to review the collection, even though it was not an overly large inventory, simply because they wanted to make sure to provide enough time to give an honest assessment of the coins, and explain how and why the pieces were valued as they were. In fact, we are planning another appointment to finish off the collection and for the son (I'm terrible at remembering names) to have his father give a second opinion on a penny that could be worth several hundred dollars if it turns out to be genuine, so we don't get shortchanged, so to speak. They operate by appointment only, which makes sense so that they can give each client their full attention and ensure fairness to both themselves and the client. I certainly would recommend them to anyone with a collection they think may be valuable, and certainly will return should we come across any other collections in the future!

I highly recommend Hibbs & Sons if you are selling gold or silver. Whether it be precious metals (coins) or jewelry; this is the shop to go to. Honest professionals, willing to go over each coin, tell you what they will pay for them. They don’t rush you, they take their time with you. Extremely knowledgeable and very fair pricing. Having gone there today with many various types of silver; coins, bars, rounds, etc. I was impressed with the time taken with me. Explaining why one coin was worth more than another. One of the most honest precious metals professionals. I will be going back with more, as my experience was exceptional. Don’t hesitate to go there.
