So earlier today I broke my rope chain necklace accidentally and called a jewelry store to possibly get a credit to use to purchase a new chain and was offered $50.00 for scrap 14k gold. Ridiculous offer and I canceled my order immediately for a replacement chain. I googled scrap gold buyer near me and the first non sponsored link was The Gold and Silver store in Ontario, OR so I called them up and Sam who answered was wonderful he listened as I quoted the weight in grams and he gave me an estimate. I drove over to Ontario and was pleasantly greeted and the process was explained completely, the gentleman even measured the length and wrote me a post it so I could remember the length I need. They checked it out, weighed it, asked for ID, quick paperwork an initial and signature and cash in hand. Both Sam and the gentleman whose name I neglected to ask explained they often have pieces which may fit my requirements and I left my and my wife's number so they could contact me when something does match. I appreciate the candor and professionalism and the chance to save money as I am hard on my jewelery unintentionally but I now have a place to go where I will be treated well and honestly and fairly! Good job gentleman!
