Very rude staff. Very distracted from there jobs took them 15min to even noticed I walked in. They say they'll work with you but use like multiple excuses saying they won't take the item. And then when they do take the item extremely low ball you and give you not even a 10th of what you were asking for. Honestly this pawn shop blows I'll take my chances selling my stuff else where.

After giving it some thought, I've decided to leave a review instead of brushing the incident under the rug. I'm standing there looking at sports cards and see a couple nintendo switch games on the counter in front of a customer. I ask the customer if they are buying or selling them, he says, "Selling, anything catch your eye?" I said, "Can I look at your switch games?" I had never seen those titles before. After getting permission from the owner of the games to look at them, the ??owner?? (Of the store) walks over and yanks them out of my hands, looking me in the eyes all wide eyed and sharply says, "Thank you..." Walking to the young man behind the register and setting them down now out of reach... I wasn't poaching or even interested in buying them, just was curious about the titles. That interaction made me want to look at the customer and tell him, "I'll pay $10 over what they offer you..." and walk out. The customer clearly stated he wasn't looking to get rid of anything, and was just curious to see what he would get offered. Even if I was trying to purchase them, the owner should politely let the both parties know to please go outside if they're going to do business together, and not be salty, because the seller has the right to sell to whoever he feels like, and make as much money as possible. I finished browsing the sports cards and left. I guess this is the kind of stuff we can expect in Liberal America, taking things out of people hands that don't belong to you.

I went into Dan’s just wanting to check out some conceal type hand guns & home protection type shotguns, not realizing it was approximately closing time for the employees. Wyatt stayed after closing, helping me look at every hand gun & shotgun I asked to see, even though we both knew a background check couldn’t be completed that day, and I wouldn’t be able to purchase anything, he still stayed late, was very professional & answered every question I had, he and I conversed over preferences, reliability, pros & cons of each weapon, price point, and accessory options, I will say, I had been into every pawn shop & gun store in Salem/keizer area in the last few days looking for the right guns for myself. Ultimately, I chose to purchase both a shotgun & hand gun from Dans because of Wyatt & the reasons listed above. If you’re still reading this review and are in the market for a gun. Let me save you some time, energy, fuel, & headache. Most gun stores & pawn shops in the area all price their guns fairly and appropriately, (MOST) you may save yourself a few dollars buying at one place over another (I’m serious. It’s literal dollars you’re saving between some shops!) however purchasing at dans, you’re going to get great customer service, attention, all your questions answered, and a smile. (That was NOT my experience at any other pawn shop) Dans even has a lay away option (I believe that’s what it was called?) I had to leave the state immediately after deciding on the guns I wanted. So I put money down, and when I come Back in a few weeks they will have them ready with my name on them! Thank you for the service guys! I’ll see you in a few weeks
