I have shown 2 coin collections to Sean over the past 3 months. He looked carefully at each piece, made an offer on the straightforward pieces, and gave me some options for some key date coins. He was very upfront in his assessment and respectful towards our collections. He did not require a decision right then. Sean's offers were right in line with what I was expecting. I had made an effort to understand the value of the collections and what I could reasonably expect in selling to a dealer (which is essentially a 'transfer of risk', ie they may or may not sell). I was glad to have been armed with a bit of knowledge so that I could make this assessment.
