Yesterday was our second trip to visit Josh. Using his advice from our first visit, we segregated our inherited collection into two groups -- the face-value collections (e.g., National Park quarters) and the "rare" coins worth more than face value. We left the collection with him, went to lunch, then returned to an offer was higher than we expected (based on our own research). Josh knows the business well and clearly loves it. A well-earned 5 stars.

Brought in a silver collection and Joshua was very fair with his offer. Another place gave me such a low offer. Will definitely come back to Shaffer Rare coins in the future.

Fair, honest and professional. I sold some coins there today and was given the best value around, I know b/c I called several other coin shops. Josh actually talked me out of selling a coin set that had sentimental value. I'm glad he did or I definitely would have had 'sellers remorse'. Highly recommend!
