Mahoning Valley Gold and Silver in downtown Salem is a great place to buy and sell. They are honest and are extremely knowledgable. I recently sold them a gold necklace and was pleasantly suprised at the value it had. I highly recommend checking them out.

Was very knowledgeable and honest. Sold a few old coins and felt like I got a decent price for them. Highly recommend to anyone to go here if looking to buy or sell old currency

I deal with precious metals a lot through many vendors and am always on the lookout for another standup honest and fair establishment (you can never have too many!) Well PLEASE never deal with this establishment! I sent my wife in to sell a few rolls of Franklin Halves and a single Amex one ouncer, well he offered her 16x face which is almost pretty close to fair… however he explained to my wife what (x) face meant and told her for every 4 of theses coins you get 16 dollars…. Well that would be the case if they were indeed quarters not half dollars so he offered her 160 dollars for two rolls of Franklins and 23 for the one ounce bar…. Spot price at time of writing 28 dollars… And silver is a HOT market right now! I called and was told he only had 15 half dollars for sale and were priced between 15-20 dollars depending on condition (very understandable!) however that would be 30-40 x face…. HOLY SMOKES BATMAN! I’m all for profits and have several small businesses myself! I would love to support a local business however I strongly disagree taking advantage of your customers at an extreme 50 percent PLUS profit margin that’s just sad man do better!! May I suggest Jerry In alliance Ohio at “Alliance coin and jewelry” a model business that I will continue to deal with, I was simply trying to find one closer to home with no luck Maybe I should open up a local bullion store next 🤔 God bless and I hope that one day you have a slightlt change of heart and business strategy

Came in and sold silver several times. Always treats me fairly. Honest prices, never forced to sell so if you dont like the offer, you can always walk away.
