This guy has a serious lack of customer courtesy and professionalism. We brought a 22k gold medallion in to be appraised and he told us we were wasting his time and costing him money. Went down the street to Harold B Rice and they were very easy to work with. I work at a car dealership and generate $10-15 million a year in sales. I still make time out of my day to help senior folks pair their phones, even if they didn't buy the car from me. There are only two ways of doing business, the right way and the wrong way.

Went there to see how much they would give me for a kilo of silver. They told me they can't buy it if I didn't originally purchase from them. No big deal but before I went and wasted my time to drive over there and then wait around, there was no mention of that on their website. There also appears to be plenty of reviews where people sell jewelry and silverware of all kinds. Kind of odd they don't buy pure silver.

I deal with Patrick Connor. He's so cool. He's a straight-,shooter - gets right to the point. He's busy so don't waste his time. Keep coming upon gold jewelry as I sort through & clean my late Mom's house. And, it's just when I'm at the end of my rope $-wise - so it's off to see Patrick for a check - always more than I expected. He has given me excellent advice about what to do with Silver that I brought in first & about other things that came up. You can trust Patrick & everyone at Jack Hunt Gold & Silver.

I came with a bunch of old coins to see what they were worth because I got them from my grandfather and I brought someone that I have collected over the years. When I came in, there was someone else these and he was leaving with a check, he told me " this guy is good, only deal with him". I get to the window when the man leaves and I try to start showing the man my coins because im my mind, im pretty excited to see what I have. He kept "trying" to explain to me about the "market" and so on which is personally didnt care or ask for. All I asked for is to go through the coins, separate the ones that are worth something and the ones that aren't and then I would have sold the ones that were worth something with him. But it was like he didnt even want them but then when I told him that I wasn't going to sell them, he asked me "why?" And I literally said "because id rather keep them, i collect them and its a hobby so if I like them and want to keep them, then I will." He was more offended that I wanted to keep my coins than selling him to him now even though he was NOT interested in any of my stuff which was pretty clear, he told me to use the coins to go shopping. What am I gunna shop for with 3.00 in change? Shopping??? OK sir. Lol I tried to start grabbing my stuff and leave and he said "Stop touching it, leave it here on the counter so we both can see it so you can see what im doing." If you dont want it, then ill take it with me and leave if you aren't interested in doing what I asked. If looks could kill, this man would probably be turned to stone because I was getting very annoyed and frustrated because even when he'd ask me a question about the coins, I would start to talk and he would take his hand, wave it at me and tell me to be quiet, then he asked, "what did you want to do then?" I told him id like to sell then but if you dont want them which clearly you don't, ill just take em all. He gave me a new clear bag, i said thank you and I left and as I walked out the door and walked down the stairs I said to myself, thank you for nothing. When a customer is trying to come to use to see what something is worth, just answer the actual question, stop trying to make it seem like your smart and start filling the conversation with stuff your customers aren't going to care about. If they do, great, but when someone asks for a simple request, just do what they asked, dont go over and beyond if you dont need to. To much of something is never a good thing. πŸ’œ

Dealt exclusively with Pat Connor. He is so knowledgeable. I have always learned something when I went in there. I never felt pushed to buy or pressured. I buy from them because of their buyback promise. Also, it means a lot to me to deal with a local business. I hardly recommend Jack Hunt.

Historic transactions and interactions have been smooth, and cordial, but something dramatically has changed with Jack Hunt since my last interaction. Pat Conner who I have worked with in the past, has suddenly became very indifferent in my opinion, and elusive. His statements are non-congruent. I was attempting to purchase, and later found out they changed their ways for accepted payment from historic transactions, which is fine, but it was not disclosed. Wiring funds was the only method other than waiting weeks, with the hopes of receiving the product given the other payment options. Again, that is fine. Then I was told wiring would take 2-3 days for fund to show, which is very, very questionable given my personal experience with other dealers. When I stated that doesn't make sense, Pat's immediate response was, if you don't feel comfortable doing business with me, take your business somewhere else. He was very defensive, aggressive, with an perturbed tone. Discussing it was pointless. Even after I reluctantly decided to proceed, he has subsequently been unresponsive. He wouldn’t respond to finalize a transaction. He has not been responsive to calls, or texts. In my opinion, something is very off, and unsettling. I WILL NOT do any further transactions with Jack Hunt moving forward.
