Stay away from these New york/Long Island coin "dealers'. They try to sell overpriced coins as investments. The only person making money are the scam salesmen. When they caught they change company names and call you again. They'll use tactics like using a fake caller id to think they are calling you locally.

In Sept. 2020 I agreed to sell back a coin to Professional Coin Galleries which I purchased from Jim Garofalo, PCG founder and owner, in 2019. I was quoted on the phone, verbally ("not in writing" Jim declares) a price for the coin. I returned the coin and the company acknowledges receipt. Six weeks later there has been no payment for the coin and after multiple inquiries Jim (finally) calls me to tell me "that the wrong price was quoted for the wrong coin." PCG has the original invoice for a coin they sold to me last year and PCG misquotes the wrong price for the wrong coin? Isn't that their "business?" And it takes six weeks to "discover" this and reveal this to me?I have neither the coin nor any payment for this coin. And let me add that an employee states a check was sent out a couple weeks ago for the coin (at 22% less than the agreed upon price!). No check was received (by me) at all although PCG has my correct mailing address. How does a 22%-under-agreed-upon-price come about? And even that doesn't happen. After 12 years in business, PCG receives Better Business Bureau accreditation in August 2020?

I spoke with Ray and the owner, James. I was impressed with the integrity of both guys. There was a misunderstanding with part of my order, and a sizeable charge was placed on my credit card for product I did not order. I had never done business with this company at this point. Not only did Ray & James honor their word, they were patient with my anxiety from large overcharge. I am a small investor and I will absolutely continue to build and create my portfolio with PCG. It has been my experience that you can trust this company. I will continue to do business with PCG. A+ !!!
