I recently brought a 14k gold chain into this store to sell. Before even testing it, the owner immediately made dismissive comments like “I don’t like the way this looks” and “stamps mean nothing in this business.” After testing it, the chain confirmed as 14k exactly as stamped yet instead of acknowledging that, he doubled down with, “Well, it doesn’t feel right.” The attitude was unprofessional and unnecessarily confrontational. I walked around the block to another gold buyer and received a fair offer with no attitude, no games, and no commentary, just straightforward business. If you’re looking for a respectful and professional transaction, I’d recommend exploring other options.
Brought a bunch of old jewelry to Richie here not knowing if it was worth anything, but I ended up leaving with a lot more cash than I even thought. Def an unexpected surprise! Coming back w/silver flatware I know I'm never going to use. Highly recommend bringing anything down to here to sell because he buys things I really never even thought were of value!
I passed by today to pick up a few starter coins for my son and ran into Richie (owner). He was an absolute gentleman and took the time to educate my son on coin collecting. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend!
The guy behind the counter will offer you literally 50% of what your silver/gold is worth and curse at you if you question why you are being given such a low amount. I've spent hundreds of dollars at this store buying jewelry, you would think they would treat there customers better, no wonder I was the only person there. Horrible experience I will never return to that store, I would rather drive 100 miles than deal with those people.
This was the worst experience that I have had with any type of jeweler, was inquiring about rings and the male Caucasian older man, was very rude and very short with my questions did state to me “ no disrespect but I don’t have time for this “ not sure if he understood that was very disrespectful. Live in the area and will make sure I am vocal to friends family and colleagues on not going to this business. Will also be filing a claim with the better business bureau.
They’ve been a neighborhood fixture for at least 30 yrs that I know of. Been there twice only recently. I sold some gold to who I’m assuming was the owner. So friendly and knowledgeable and very fair. I brought my jewelry to Liberty after having “shopped” around for the best price. I would never shop around again. Liberty would be my first and only. I just picked up 3 earrings that needed repair. One of them is not only beautiful, but has emense sentimental value to me. The repairs are incrediblely done. Absolutely perfect. I am so happy. Just got to glance at their beautiful inventory. If I’m ever in the market for new stuff I know where I’m going. Thank you Liberty.
