I was at the store a week ago and purchased the new 2025 Topps Chrome updated Mega Box. Price was $125. Actually googled the product after the purchase and saw that both Topps directly and Dicks sell the same product for $70. I’m all for supporting small business, but a $55 difference in price. I understand shipping and labor costs. It wouldn’t have upsetted me if I paid $90-$95 for the product. $55 over competition seemed to be a little excessive. To give a little update on this, the owner did contact me and resolved the issues. It was an over sight. They reimbursed me which I spent in the store because they did the right thing. And I will continue to support them based on their quick resolution and fairness thru the process. Great service and great people to deal with.

I recently visited the Grand Slam Collectibles location on Higbie Lane and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and welcoming introductions by two great guys, Jared and Griffin. They offer a huge variety of options for anyone into ripping and opening packs. They had everything from all sports—basketball, football, baseball—to popular trading card games. The selection of signed memorabilia was also impressive. They offered items I didn't know existed. I especially loved their small rack of value boxes near the entrance. The bixes sat on a small shelving unit and were neatly separated by teams like the Yankees, Mets, and then dollar boxes. It’s perfect for finding hidden gems or your favorite player from the local teams. What really stood out was the atmosphere. I ended up hanging out for about 20 to 30 minutes, just talking with Jared and Griffin. We discussed our reasons for collecting and bonded over our shared passion for the hobby. It was an amazing experience to just talk with local card shop guys and hear stories and experiences. When Jared heard that I had a 7-year-old daughter that also collected baseball cards. He immediately went digging into some sorting boxes and pulled out three team bags full of cards for me to give to her when I returned home. That was super special!! Overall, the store has a great selection, fair prices, and an incredibly welcoming vibe. I highly recommend them to any hobbyist, whether you're a long-time collector or just starting out. I’ll definitely be back soon when passing through.
