I heard gold was at an all time high so I emptied out my old jewelry boxes and brought them in. He went through the different types of 10k 14k and 24 k. And he also went through the vlsize and value of stones as well. Getting paid for a bunch of crap I'll never wear was very cool! They give 80% for scrap gold. Skip the pawn shops and head here. Very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Thanks for a smooth transaction!

After a disappointing experience at another local jeweler we walked into Reno Gold Exchange with unneeded gold jewelry and walked out with a nice check! The process was smooth and completely aboveboard and we felt very comfortable dealing with Jacob.

If you are looking to sell your scrap gold, look no further. Owner was professional and honest. Paid $50/gram for 14k gold tooth. Other scrap gold buyer in town only wanted to pay $25/g. Gave accurate weight, accurate valuation and best price. Thank you Reno Gold exchange for conducting your business with integrity.

I’ve had a few rings sitting in a drawer for years—no sentimental value, just gathering dust. Given the recent spike in gold prices, I finally decided to cash them out. I went to Reno Gold Exchange and wanted to give them a shout-out. The owner is a nice guy, and the whole thing was zero hype and zero pressure. He weighed and tested everything right in front of me and was super transparent about the math (paying about 80-85% of spot value). He even gave me a little cash for the "diamond sawdust" on the rings, which I wasn't expecting since small diamonds are basically worthless these days. Process was easy: showed my DL, gave a thumbprint, signed a form, and left with cash. Heads up: They strictly do jewelry (no bullion or flatware), but if you’re looking to clear out your jewelry box, it’s a well-run shop.

Honest and Fair! I had a great experience at The Reno Gold Exchange. It’s clear this is a family-owned business that takes pride in what they do. They were friendly, professional, and took the time to answer all my questions without any pressure. Their shop is clean, well-organized, and easy to find right on S Virginia Street. If you’re in the Reno area and need to buy or sell gold or jewelry, I highly recommend checking them out. You’ll walk out feeling confident and respected. Thank you for the excellent service!
