I’ve been buying jewelry at Palms for the last seven years. I have some absolutely beautiful pieces! Not only do I buy at Palms, but so does my mom, my sister and my sister-in-law. When I walked in yesterday to see if they could fix a ring that had cracked an employee treated me absolutely horrible. I said to him “I bought this ring here last year, and it’s cracked” and his response was “so what do you want me to do about it?” “ For all I know you could’ve dropped it” He didn’t even give me a chance to ask if there was a way to fix it. I wasn’t asking for a replacement. I was just asking if there was a fix. I was so shocked at his response, and how rude he was, I said “well I guess nothing”and turned around and walked out. My mom, myself, and my sister came into Palms with the intent of buying jewelry yesterday and left with nothing other than a sour taste in our mouths. We were and are incredibly disappointed!! This employee does not reflect our past experiences. We have always had excellent service until yesterday.

We really would love to keep this place as our own little "Best Kept Secret" in Albuquerque,,,, but if you are even thinking of something precious to pick up on your travels here, you HAVE to know about this place. They are the most friendliest and honest people around. SO knowledgeable about all of their inventory and will happily answer any questions you might have. BEST PRICES around. TRULY! We were visiting New Mexico for the first time ever, this week, from West Virginia. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with a smile and hello, even as busy as they were. We picked up authentic pieces that we will treasure forever,,, not worried one bit if we got scammed or paid too much. One of our pieces we picked up to buy, the owners son came right over and said, "hey, would you like to meet the artist"? So I was fortunate enough to get my picture taken with him and the wood carving he made. PRICELESS We truly have found a forever place that will CONTINUE to have our business. Can't thank these folks enough. ● Side note,,,, the review where "children are not welcome" is laughable. There were children in the store the day we were there. No issues were going on. They have stuff for children even!! Plenty of stuff. Is it a playground ABSOLUTELY NOT, come on, raise your kids right to BE RESPECTFUL and use manners, to not touch things they shouldn't. I think some people think others find it "cute" and might want to have their kids watched while "mom & dad browse". If you're looking for that, there's a park right up the road. But these people truly love kids and were helping families the day we were there.

KIDS ARE NOT WELCOME IN THIS STORE! We believe that children are human and not something to be controlled; we should instruct them, guide them, and help them to not break things when they are in a store. But to post signs around the store saying to "control your children" sends the message "children are not welcome here." The same thing could be said with in a much kinder way, like "We love your children, but could you help them to not break our breakables?" or even the old and simple, "If you break it, you buy it." We walked in with money to spend, and walked out after we saw the signs. This drove us to Old Town, where we found some actual good deals on jewelry, and from places that felt welcoming to children and actually engaged them as people. Also, the price structure is all psychological: everything is half off the marked price (unless it's marked NET) and the signs say they don't want you to haggle, so it makes you think you're getting a super deal. Maybe it works for them, but I prefer for a store to say "all prices are final" and show me that price. Lots of cool stuff, but not for our family.

I have bought many pieces of jewelry here over the years. They have a great selection and the prices seem fair. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. They also offer a wide variety of pottery, and other great gift ideas.
