Rude.

Jim is very knowledgeable, and if you know what you're interested in, whether it's bullion or numismatics, you will likely enjoy his rare coin store. And, as a plus, the music is always great! The prices are fair, the offering is extensive, and his sardonic charm grows on you. I really can't rate this highly enough.

Jim is a gruff old man, but he has more knowledge about numismatics than any one else in the southwest. if you can get over his somewhat abrasive personality, you will get the most honest, fair deal in town. and think about the type of people hes been dealing with buying and selling coins and precious metals IN ALBUQUERQUE for 40+ years. id probably be a dick too.

Jim is a nice guy. People need to understand that places of business that deal with things of value may come off as stand-offish or rude. This is at any coin shop/jeweler. These shops are not meant for browsing. Nor are they meant for loitering. State your intentions when you walk in. They carry firearms; they are expecting the worse and are providing an old and overlooked service. They are always ready. This is my experience with Jim as well as other dealers. Jim has a great reputation around town with other dealers. Some dealers can come off as jerks, although Jim has not to me. He has always been patient and respectful to me.

Jim is the best! He deserves 10 stars! My family has known him since before he first opened his store. Please do not judge him on the bad reviews. Jim is knowledgeable & honest! He can be gruff, if he does NOT know you. And I don't blame him for being extremely careful. If you were a store owner here in the surrounding Albuquerque area, You would completely understand safety. That is the reason why he gives his customers the utmost privacy and attention he can give when needed.

Jim is great. I have known him for years, and he is a true gentleman. Ignore all the whiners on here. Jim is the most knowledgeable coin dealer in town. Ask anyone who knows. I don't blame him one bit for being cautious. Too many criminals and other losers in ABQ. Gotta watch your back in this town. Anyways, Jim is one of my favorite coin dealers in the entire country not just in NM.
