Excellent selection of local turquoise mined by the owners and fashioned by NM Native Americans. Owners also know local history and lore. Just a great experience!!

I am so happy I found this gem of a store. First off if you’re near Santa Fe/Albuquerque you must go to this town and this store and spend your money that directly supports small businesses in remote areas... the items in this store are unique, beautiful, affordable, and many of the turquoise jewelry are authenticated! I implore you to go here and get your jewelry and other items because your money is more precious here than in the bigger shopping areas... plus the owner is absolutely delightful.. full of knowledge about her products and yeah just go and you’ll understand!!

Dear fellow tourist, I wished I had done my research before visiting NM and if I had, I would have purchased more from Riana, the owner of Gypsy Gem. Only until after I stayed 5 days in NM did I realize that I wanted to purchase directly from native artists. The pottery is museum quality and something to cherish for generations. Riana offers jewelry pieces she has hand mined! Visiting her website after returning home, I learned she offers tours. I would have LOVED a tour and this opportunity might be compelling enough to plan another trip to NM. Buy from this shop, you will be so happy you did.

One of a kind pieces designed with locally mined Cerrillos Turquoise by silversmith artists. Cerillos turquoise is an absolutely gorgeous shade of robin’s egg or Tiffany blue. Pieces designed with white turquoise and black jade are also beautifully unique. You have the ability to create your own one of a kind piece with the owner along with resizing a piece if need be. Artisan Mata Ortiz and Pueblo pottery, Zuni fetishes and unique items fill the store. Riana, the lovely shop owner who mines her own turquoise is informative and helpful. Mine tours are possible by arrangement.
