Before Christmas I was looking for extra funds so I brought several items from my deceased father's collection into Superior Rare Coinage to hopefully sell. I was very pleased with the owner. Although I did not have anything of significance he took the time to educate me on what I had and more importantly 'why' it was not necessarily what I'd hoped it would be. His coworker is an expert on all things Disney and researched my dad's old Disney Dollars, so between them both you will be in good hands.

This is by far my favorite coin shop in the Monmouth-Ocean County area. I went in just to sell some silver and raw coins I had lying around, but I left with meaningful advice for an upcoming coin convention, how to safely travel in the city with valuables, and a lasting impression. You can immediately tell from your first conversation that Elliott is a true numismatist first, and a dealer only second. While sorting through what I’d brought, he asked if I was sure I wanted to sell a Carson City Morgan Dollar. There are plenty of dealers who prey on people that might not know what they have and Elliott is as honest as I’ve met. As far as local shops go, I will exclusively be doing business here and here only.

Stopped into the shop on a whim the other day not having been before, and just before closing at that. I ended up spending over an hour with Elliot discussing the hobby, even though in this instance I did not ended up buying anything. Class act shop - I will be back!!
