Called wanting to buy 2Kilo of silver and he told me he was not selling. Then said $10/oz over spot. Did not give me much confidence is the shop. Seemed young and very emotional during a dip. If you can’t sell at an appropriate price it doesn’t instill any confidence. Lost a new customer rather than doing the right thing. I went to beachcomber and got what I needed.
This business owner has a clean place and keeps it very organized. I have been here several times to sell some of my coins and have gotten a fair offer each visit. I will continue to see him for my future coin evaluations as he has given me the best prices for my coins thus far. Thank you for your transparency.
I stopped into Beach Coins yesterday while I was in the area, and I’m glad I did. It’s a great local coin shop with a wide selection—perfect for both new collectors and seasoned enthusiasts. Even though it was my first visit, it was immediately clear that Jon treats every customer like a regular. I definitely will be returning.
The vibe in this store is very welcoming ,I was given a very good price on the silver I was selling and then I was able to buy what I needed because this place has a wide variety of coins ! I met the owner and had a good conversation because Jon is very knowledgeable on coins ! Whether your an expert ,or your just curious about coins ,This is the only spot you should go to !! I am now becoming a repeat customer and everytime I come in here ,he has everything I need for my collections I’m working on ,This place is incredible 10/10 would reccomend !!
John is a warm and gregarious soul. He genuinely has a passion for his business and it shows! His store is interesting and full of all different types of numismatics; coins and paper money, and unique collectables! My only complaint is that John's shop is too far from my house! I plan to make a pilgrimage down there at least once a month if I can help it. John, thank you so much for being a great person and for running a great coin shop. I salute you sir!
I walked in as a first time customer and brand new to coin collecting. Jon was extremely helpful and showed a genuine interest in my enthusiasm. He offered advice, and showed me multiple examples in a range of prices. He also gave me some complimentary swag; a small but very appreciated gesture. Heading down the shore ? Here is a place to check out ! NJ Beach Coins is a great spot for a collector or even a beginner . The grand opening was today, March 15,2025. Great lighting with clean showcases with clear with pricing. It is not just coins. It also offers a variety of large collections of currency as well. I had a chance to meet the owner, Jon DiMasi. Nice ,friendly guy with a wealth of knowledge. You can tell just chatting with Jon that this is one of his passions .NJ Beach Coins also has the books and coin sleeves for sale to start your collection.
