This was our first time visiting Port City Coin & Jewelry. My sons have recently gotten into coin collecting, and we were looking for some expert advice. The staff were incredibly patient and informative, even though we’re not regular customers. They were genuinely happy to see kids excited about coins and the history behind them. Both of my boys left feeling like pros in the coin world—more excited than ever to learn and collect. We’ll definitely be back, thanks to the kindness, respect, and great experience we had here.

Being a beginner to the coin world, I looked online for Coin Dealers in my area which came up with sites that have you Scan the coins to see the value of each. I ended up with a small amount of coins that I thought I should get a professional opinion on. Quick research for Reputable Coin Dealers in my area came up with several. Port City was the highest rated on the list. Their shop looked nice, quite a bit of stock with 2 women working. One of the women came over and asked how she could help me. I explaining to her that I am interested in starting to collect coins and had some with me I thought may be of some value. She brought a tray for me to spread the coins out on, the other woman then came over, looked down at the coins and (without hesitation) pointed to the coins and told me "They aren't Silver, Only worth what they are". She then went back talking with the other woman while put my coins back in the bag and left. I guess they aren't interested in Helping beginners get into coin collecting, or maybe just don't want my business... Either way, Port City Coin & Jewelry has a really Sad way of treating potential (now lost) customers. Oh well, there is other shops out there..
