I’ve had good experiences here in the past, but this most recent visit was very disappointing. The store felt more disorganized than before. There were coins everywhere behind the back counter, and even on the counter — coins of all sorts. It was a mess. I asked for a few different types of coins, including wheat cents, and was told they were somehow out. I also brought a 1909-S VDB Lincoln cent with me, and a staff member immediately told me it was fake because he believed there should be a dot on it. I don’t know if the coin was real or not, but this is strange, because the reason this coin is rare is that the VDB initials were removed on the 1909-S, so the mint mark itself wouldn’t change. PCGS, NGC, and other reputable sources confirm this. Given that the coin is 117 years old with a mintage of about 484,000, it should have been handled more carefully. The staff member claimed to have handled many of these coins before, but based on his uncertain handling and limited experience, I don’t believe he has actually seen that many. Other coin dealers I’ve visited have spent close to an hour examining this coin, yet here it was dismissed immediately. I don’t like that the big boss didn’t handle a coin of this rarity. Overall, I was very disappointed with some of the staff’s limited knowledge and handling of coins. I planned on keeping the coin anyway, but the interaction was frustrating. At checkout, the staff member who handled my coins checked out my 1861 copper-nickel Indian Head penny I was aware of the price and chose the coin knowingly. To be fair, I even said to the coin flip that it was a very fine 20 1861 penny, because honestly it was probably worth somewhere near 135% of its book value — maybe even more. Based on my 2026 Blue Book and what he claimed the grade was, I feel I probably paid around that amount. The grade might even be a little aggressive, and I’m not saying it’s a terrible coin — but I do feel it was slightly high for what I expected. I understand a dealer may need to charge somewhere between 110–125% of value, maybe slightly higher depending on grade, but never 140%. I also pointed out that a 1942-S Lincoln cent was in a slab labeled 1930–1939. The same employee who put the 42-S back in that slab also looked at my girlfriend while we were browsing—not in an inappropriate way, but in a clearly unfriendly “you don’t belong here” manner—even though she was just looking with me and my grandfather. This made us both feel unwelcome, and I believe there may have been a bit of subtle sexism involved. When I asked for slab plastic holders, I never received them, even though I’m pretty sure the store sells them. Instead, I was given basic flips. I looked through the junk silver nickels and found a nicer war nickel (around Extra Fine), along with several others. Overall, there were multiple issues involving incorrect information, disorganization, and unfriendly staff. In our opinion, driving three hours to visit this store was not worth it. I believe in second chances, and I may return if these issues are addressed, but this visit was very disappointing. Although I did get two 1959 pennies back and change, which was nice. I would really love to get this place a second Chance, but I really want them to earn it Edit after he responded •I paid 57 for the 1861 •And it the mintage is 484,000 you were of by a factor of 10 •It’s not illegal to not have you full name I see plenty of people with 5 stars no full name and you said nothing • I said I wanted to keep the 1909 S-VDB • you are talking like I just talk to just you I talked to 3 or 4 staff • Your staff said there was a dot on the S on the coin when that is not true the V.D.B was not the problem •my review recounts a couple different employees so stop talking like you are all of them the guy that ask my gf can I help you it was his first day so that means it was not you as the owner You talk for 3 people and what happened to them but you say it was you but it indeed was not you I hope you business goes well I hope it works out for you God bless

Stopped in this morning and the shop had two other customers. I said 'good morning' & was greeted the same way, with smiles. After a few minutes of browsing I was offered to have anything taken out of the display cases if I was interested in seeing anything closer. Once the other customers left, I asked to see some graded Morgan dollars, and found something that caught my eye. I inquired about the cost and was given a more than fair price to which I happily agreed. It ended up being a very pleasant interaction and I had a great conversation with Bill about numismatics, precious metals, and his experience in the hobby. Thanks again Bill & can't wait to come back!

I was told 1909-S V.D.B. cent in grade G (at least) and (F at most) was worth 100 tell me were you can find one for that much I was like nope did not even want to sell it I just wanted to know what it was worth (Shoud not even asked) the guy was very rude about it too Not sure if its Jealousy or a bad customer that day but also It was very small compared to the last building and very messy. I don't really want to come back this place Ill just go east for coins

Bill seems like a good guy. He is polite-which means a great deal to me. The service and pricing options seem flexible and around the mark. I would recommend doing business here. The only downside is I think they need a bigger shop to display all the coins they have. Lots of selections. I hope you have a great experience like I have had here.

Well obviously they have old coins/money as well as buying/selling silver. I didn't get many answers about the old world coin collection that I inherited and know nothing about but they gave me the name of someone I could reach out to so that was helpful!
