I was coming in to look for Indian head pennies, wheat pennies, and buffalo nickels. They allowed me to search through an entire bucket of wheat pennies to fill in my book and even had some dates I was missing for my buffalo nickels. They were very friendly, let me look closely at some rare coins, and offered me some good advice about coin collecting. I highly recommend you visit this place first if you’re in Asheville.

My man and I came in there Friday and the 2 guys in there were so kind and thoughtful, and treated us like family… Such an awesome store, Awsome employees, overall had a great time and definitely will be bac. DEFINITELY 10 outta 10

If you are in Asheville and looking for a coin shop, this is the one. I have been loyal to WNC Coins for almost three years now for many good reasons: -Fair prices -quick answers for any prices that are based on spot price, and price tags on anything with numismatic value -Michael and Terry are incredibly kind and welcoming -If you are physically in the shop, you will never be asked to wait so they can answer the phone -Everyone is treated with the same level of respect, no matter the size of the transaction -Even if you are not buying or selling, they will still give you their time to talk about coins, evaluate your coins, and/ or answer your questions -Both Michael and Terry are incredibly knowledgeable. In particular, Michael knows a lot about ancient coins and Terry can identify most anything that has an official hallmark. Both of them are great with American coinage and paper money, foreign currency, and all bullion coins and bars. If you go: -Be prepared to wait for a few minutes. The shop can get really busy at times -If you don't see what you're looking for, make sure to ask just in case. Not all of their inventory is out on display -They are closed every Wednesday and on most holidays. Make sure to double check their hours on Google before going, they do a great job of keeping them updated

I 10/10 recommended this business. The transaction was quick and easy. The customer service was outstanding and I received a very fair price as a seller. After having a previous negative experience with another coin shop, I was apprehensive but WNC exceeded my expectations. Zero haggling needed to receive a fair price. I will seek them out for future transactions.

New stacker here! I’ve been to this wonderful shop a couple of times now, and I can tell you, I highly recommend them. Michael and Terry make an amazing team, they are both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Every time I walk in with a bunch of questions, they are always very helpful and patient with me. I love how they give you their full attention when helping you, no matter what. If they are assisting you, they will stay with you until your transaction is complete or all of your questions have been answered, and then move on to the next person. They have a wide variety of silver coins/rounds and gold, and if you’re into graded coins, they offer those as well. Overall, I have an amazing experience with them every time I visit. I would definitely recommend this coin shop if you are looking to buy silver or gold!

I sold a little bit of gold and silver. I was nervous going in, but the experience could not have been better. It was quick, easy, and the sale was fair, up-front and honest. I will certainly use WNC Coins again, should I be lucky enough to aquire coins or gold.

I don’t do a lot of business with Michael, but he has helped and answered any questions that I have. He is knowledgeable and treats all people with the same courtesy. I live 20 miles away, but I think he is the best dealer in my area.

I (Alex) have been buying pretty steady each month since late Spring/Summer 2025. Michael and Terry are the best, and by this I mean they take all the necessary time with you if you have any questions to insure you are comfortable with the answers. I always find something in there (even if I am not looking for anything in particular!) The prices are great and I have been a returning customer, even brought in a friend who bought from them too.
