0Sold my coins to another dealer. Waste of my time.
I am a budget buyer. I use layaway for my top end pieces. Everyone who I speak with is considerate, which I appreciate. Every purchase I have made arrives promptly and is as advertised. Makes me a more knowledgeable collector. Thnx JDK
My friend ordered some coins 5 days ago. They canceled the order citing the rise in price in silver. I've ordered from other companies during price rises and always received what I ordered. This is a very dishonest business practice and I would not recommend ordering from here.
Super reputable team that really knows their coins. Great store for those that care about know their coins were properly graded and buying from a legit source. I have purchased several times now and delivery is always on time.
I recently purchased an uncertified 1925 Philadelphia penny that was uncirculated for $25, thinking it was an unusual low price. Believing L&C was a reputable business, I purchased the coin. When I received it, the top of the coin looked as if it had been machined and stopped short of shaving the top edge surface flat with a sharp lip where it ended. Looking very suspicious, I took a jeweler's magnifying eye piece to examine the coin closer. I noticed on the shoulder of Lincoln, it had been cleanly machined off flat where numbers and words use to be, probably showing at one time that this coin was a replica of the original coin, but they did not quite go deep enough to completely eliminate the visible inscription. E-mailing Kevin about what I had found, he told me to return the coin for a full refund. But after I returned the coin and told him it was a fake, he proceeded to put it back on his web- site to try and resell unwittingly to someone else who may not notice its lack of authenticity. Just a warning for those who want to buy uncertified coins, be careful when purchasing for so called reputable dealers, even they can get fooled now and then, but relisting it as authentic, not cool.
I saw a few negative reviews, but they were closest to me, so I figured I would give them a try. Here is my honest review. 1. They are "by appointment only", so you cannot just walk in and look around. They do not keep things out and about like some collectors. Keep that in mind when you go there. 2. I wanted to sell some gold, silver and coins. I made the appointment, showed up and ended up selling. The price for the gold and silver was fair market value and they paid for quite a bit of my coins as well. They were incredibly knowledgeable, easy to work with and (most importantly) fair. They printed me a check on the spot, so I couldn't ask for anything more than what they did. They also have great relationships with other collectors and are helping to bridge the gap for some other collectables that I have. I will absolutely go back.
