0Very small but interesting to see all the coins and them sorting money. This was free which is a plus.— Amy Mattson, Jan 2026
Small but worth a visit!— Alex, Jan 2026

It was cool for a free afternoon, but also the music was putting me to sleep. I would not pay for the experience but it was alright as a museum. I wish there was signage describing the differences between the Federal Reserve Banks and the US Mints. I was mixed up on those before I entered.— Hannah Blanc, Feb 2026
This was an interesting free museum! I liked that the information was presented in a way that catered to both adults and children. I didn't feel like I was at a children's museum, but my 13 year old didn't feel like everything was too in depth to grasp.— rachel avila, Oct 2025
While waiting for the WW1 museum to open we toured the money museum. Spent over an hour looking at the exhibits and learning about the federal reserve in KC. No fee to enter. Did have to go through security to enter. Worth the time to visit if you are in the area.— rich troutman, Oct 2025
NOT FOR YOUNG KIDS. Homeschool trip was good. Recommend making a scavenger hunt before going. This will keep the kids entertained & reading.— Jackie Lehnert, Feb 2026
If you're curious about U.S. currency or just appreciate well-done museums, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Money Museum is a hidden gem. The Truman coin set exhibit is truly stunning; a perfect showcase of U.S. minting craftsmanship and presidential history. The vault room is an absolute standout. Getting to step watch them count and stack notes and to see pallets of millions of dollars is unforgettable. Every exhibit is educational and thoughtfully designed, from how money is printed to its role in the economy. There are interactive displays and knowledgeable staff who make learning fun. Best of all? Admission is free. I walked away with a deeper understanding of currency and even a fun souvenir. Highly recommend for families, students, or anyone with a curious mind!— Megan Mulholland, Jul 2025
They had a room with a video about the federal reserve that was quite dry. Wish they had maybe 2 or 3 with varying topics still related instead of one on a loop with someone named 'penny' wow they try a little too hard to be cutesy. The staff who spoke to me upon arrival were brief without emotion. The mentions of mostly geared towards children is correct, however has 2-3 hours of material for adults to read as well if interested. I have always found banks and the fed interesting and after almost 2 hours had to leave due to it being so dry and the staff unfriendly at a museum? One lady after you enter was behind a counter on a zoom call talking about a logo and would not answer any of our questions...she was too important working at the front desk of money museum at federal reserve bank...one other staff member was giving her family a private tour was kind enough to answer a few questions. Wasn't kind enough to allow me to join their more informational tour..bag of shredded money and comic books for kids are great. clean museum expect 1.5-2 hours to check it all out. Monday here was uneventful for vault viewing. Free entrance was nice about 15-20 min walk from street car— MrK AB, Oct 2025
