Sent my wife by with a British Sovereign coin .2354 of an oz of gold. They said they offer 90% which is $920 at today’s gold price. They offer $990 then paid her $780, when confronted they then offered $870. At this point we asked for the coin back and returned then $780. Not sure what’s going on here other than fuzzy math. Really liked the shop to start with. Just started collecting and bought some pretty expensive Morgan dollars out of their showcase. Put them in different cases and brought them back in later to see what they thought of condition. They scanned them and said that those two were actually not silver and fake. I told them I’ve gotten them from here and they said there’s no way they laser check every dollar they have. But as a new collector, I know for a fact where I’ve got every one of my coins. Really loved this place but last time I went in to sell some coins, I got a bad deal. I had an au 1921 Morgan. Was pristine. I was told that since it was a 21, he could only give me 29.00 dollars. We all know that the price of silver alone is much higher than that. Was really disappointed because I was always very satisfied with their offers before that time. Will I ever go back??
