I was in there the other day and a new guy I have never seen before was at the counter, I believe his name was Hans. I was amazed at his professionalism and understanding of how to treat people with dignity and respect. He took the time to go through everything I had and give me information to understand better. I was impressed that he did not pretend to know everything but called another amazing young man over with long hair to help him with a few coins he was not familiar with which made me even more confident that he would rather admit he didn't know, to make sure I got the best price. I wanted to give him a shout out as he deserves it.

(((((((((((((((((((((( WARNING ))))))))))))))))))))) These people are not on the level. If you are not experienced at buying or selling gold, coins or any type of Jewelry at all, if I was you i wouldn't go here. In fact I wouldn't waste my time or put my trust in people like this at all. They are looking to make as much money off of you as you allow them to take from you. People like this should not be in business. These people are the type who pick on vulnerable people who are uneducated people when it comes to Silver, Coins, Gold or any other types of metal. Not very stand-up people at all, certainly not Minnesota nice that's for sure. Kind of people if you drop your wallet they wouldn't say a word to you they'd watch you walk out the door. I in fact even checked my wallet before I left and my watch too to make sure I still had them on me. What a bunch of jerks too. =ugh= I left feeling dirty yuck =(•̪●)= ꧁‿̩͙‿੭ ☮︎ ৎ‿̩͙‿꧂ I have to find my peaceful place again and remember not all people are like this.

I had a very disappointing experience with Truman Company and would strongly caution others—especially if you’re not highly experienced with coins or precious metals. I brought in a mix of items including uncirculated Iraqi dinar, Morgan silver dollars, and scrap gold and silver—some of which were clearly marked .925. The individual I dealt with, who appeared very young and inexperienced, dismissed my items almost immediately without taking the time to properly evaluate or test them. I was told that my silver “wasn’t actually silver” without any verification, which was both concerning and unprofessional. What stood out most was how quickly everything was brushed off. There was no effort to explain anything, no transparency in the process, and no attempt to build trust. I left feeling like my items—and my time—weren’t taken seriously. I was also given an offer of “at most $20” for a stack of banknotes, which was not only inaccurate but significantly below even basic currency exchange value. That alone raised serious questions about how valuations are handled. To be clear, this is not a case of bringing in low-quality items and being upset about the outcome. I took the exact same lot to another reputable buyer afterward, and the silver that was dismissed as fake was confirmed to be genuine, and I received a fair, transparent offer across the board. A professional buyer should be willing to properly test items, explain their reasoning, and treat customers with respect regardless of the size of the transaction. That was not my experience here.

I have been coming to Truman for about six years now. I trust all of the staff and i especially like working with Hans Lindstrom because he does a beautiful display and we both love jewelry with a passion! In addition he is very friendly and is always very kind to me, which these days is scarce. Thank you Truman Company for making my life easier and thank you Hans. Sincerely, E Peltzer

I had some silver coins and a fair amount of gold jewelry to sell. I first went to a “Buying Event” that was being held at a local jewelry store. I did a bit of homework so I knew basic values that I expected. At the jewelry store buying event they offered me $26 for each silver dollar, this seemed low to me, I was thinking around $35 to $40. I then had them value a bracelet, I knew weighed about 87 grams. They offered me $2000, I was thinking more around $2500. I did not feel they were treating me fairly, so I left. The next day I went to The Truman Company. For the same bracelet they offered me $2857, and they were buying silver dollars for $40. This was a huge difference! Truman was being fair and treated me very well. I would suggest The Truman company to anyone that is looking to sell coins or jewelry. They were friendly, I was me comfortable with their process and most of all they were fair with valuing my stuff.
