Crystal Coin and Collectibles

Everytime I come and they say they are open online, they are not open. I am not even able to call and verify whether or not they are open because they haven’t even answered the phone once. I honestly don’t even know if this place is still in business? It’s not worth your gas coming here.

Cool store. Smaller collection but some nice silver rounds and very cool pens and other collectibles. He took the time to chat with me and explain some things including the frenzy in the metals markets. Very low premiums over spot as well. I’ll be back. Thanks!

Very knowledgeable, honest and friendly service

Brought some coins in awhile back the owner was super nice we got to talking and he mentioned that he does a lot not just with coins but other small antique items. I told him I had a few things I had inherited and he suggested I bring them in. Finally got around to it and was happy to get some extra money for things I didn't know what to do with. I am very happy for all his help and have and will continue to suggest my family/friends stop by and see him.

Went here with some inherited coins wasn't sure what they were or what they were valued at. The owner was knowledgeable helped me understand what I have and what they would be valued at. I was pleased with the service and will be back to purchase more as I was pleased to find out that they also have a pen shop within its location. Ended up leaving with a new pen completely unexpected. Super super happy with my purchase and experience.

I would say probably the most reputable coin shop around in the northwest suburbs in the Minneapolis area. The owner is fair, informs you of the coins you have if you're not sure, and shows you up-to-date catalog prices and values and will give you a fair cut of the catalog price. Many beginners our first timers believe when they see a catalog price on a coin, or coins, that's the price they're going to get. Well that's the price of the dealer selling for course the need to make money too. so if you got coins to sell, he's the man if you got coins to sell or looking for some coins yourself,This is the place. Small but very personal shop, all around great Coin & collectible shop!

Mike Carter is so knowledgeable and friendly ! I originally went there because I saw Mike Carter on the news talking about the discontinuation of the penny. The way he explains things is wonderful and concise and he makes sure that you understand. So many businesses have given up on giving good customer service . This is not one of those places! I highly recommend Crystal Coin & Collectibles ! This place also sells and repairs pens like Mont Blanc , among others, and carries ink and really cool pen holders . If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I most certainly would ! Great Job Mike Carter !
