What an outstanding visit I had at Birmingham Coin & Jewelry. I went there to have some paper money appraised or to sell if they had value. I was approached by a very nice gentleman named Kurtis. He was very personable and extremely nice. He took the time out, while helping other customers, to look about the bills I had that were dated 1929. Kurtis gave me a complete history of the bills and a history of the different banks and different money that was produced in that year in addition to years before and after. Kurtis made it very easy to understand the history of the bills from that era. I was thouroughly impressed with Kurtis's knowledge of these bills and the history during and after the depression. Kurtis made it so easy to understand, I wouldn't be suprised if Kurtis was a teacher in his younger years. As it turns out, the paper bills I have did not realy have much value over the actual value of the bills, ($100 bill and $5 bill made in 1929) Kurtis was kind enough to offer me slightly more than the actual value of the bills as a courtesy. Kurtis suggested just keeping them as a relic of the times and putting them away for my grandchildren. Kurtis was even nice enough to offer me 2 free sleeves for the bills to keep them in better condition. (all it cost me was a "thank you" for your time) I highly reccomend Birmingham Coin & Jewelry for all your needs. Thank you again Kurtis for taking the time to enhance my knowledge about these bills.

This place was great. Gregg was so helpful. I sold some gold jewelry and gold scrap today and I was thrilled with the money they paid me. They are very honest and fair. Then he polished my gold necklace and didn’t charge me. Was a pleasure dealing with this establishment. Highly recommend!

Went in before an important baby shower that we were hosting and really needed support with my wife’s diamond tennis bracelet repair. Gregg answered the call and not only got it repaired same day, but gave me a fair price and a giant smile. The piece looks amazing and my wife is super happy. Thanks Gregg!!

Gregg was awesome! He helped me make the perfect engagement ring for my now wife as well as finding the perfect wedding band to match. He also made my gold wedding band and made engravings on the inside with our wedding date. His prices were better than everywhere I looked, very knowledgeable and able to answer every one of my questions I had, even gave some advice on some aspects of the engagement ring that he recommends or dosnt regarding to the longevity of the ring and issues he sees people bringing in often for repair to stay away from! Very reliable and has the quickest turn around times for any jeweler I have talked to. I could keep going but all I have to say is this store and owner is the real deal and knows what they are talking about !
