I called earlier, checking for Gold Pricing, the person who answered the phone was extremely rude. Wouldn’t answer any of my questions and just wanted to hang up the phone. I called to purchase a gold coin from them and asking how much Was he charging over spot. This person Who answered the phone couldn’t even give me a price and just giving me a runaround. I purchased from these people previously and they are extremely on the high side other pawn shops are much cheaper.

I recently brought in some coins I inherited, along with a few rolls of silver. The gentleman who helped me with the coins was excellent — he took his time, went through each piece carefully with me, and explained things clearly. I really appreciated his professionalism and patience. However, my experience with the silver was not as positive. When I first arrived, I left my silver rolls with the gentleman who handles that side, but when I returned to complete the process, he was busy with another customer. Instead of taking the time to go over the silver with me, he quickly gave me a weight and price, brushed me off, and had someone else finalize the payout. I didn’t get to see the silver weighed or discuss it with him directly, which left me feeling rushed and uneasy. I would have waited until he was done with his customer but wasn't given the option. Overall, I had a great experience with the coins but was disappointed with how the silver transaction was handled.

I must share my enthusiasm about this establishment. Upon arrival you are greeted and someone is ready to help you shortly. I really enjoy their large selection of bullion and historic coins. I noticed they have a lot of historical paper notes as well. This place really has a lot of history you can see it in their inventory most of all I appreciate that they purchase scrap without discrimination of material. Will definitely be returning to this place

I met with Mr. John M at the shop today to discuss demonetized pesos and gold coins. He was polite and patient. The shop was busy but still had a relaxed atmosphere. That was pleasant. I look forward to returning soon.

Abbott's is absolutely Top Notch. My experience today was that I -finally- found a highly professional, experienced and HONEST company, that also took the time to educate me on a variety of subjects related to their business. So very happy with them and strongly recommend them!💯👍

Well, I thought I would give this place a try since it's close to work. So, I was ready to sell and also purchase and/or swap my silver for a 1oz gold Buffalo. But I was "NOT IMPRESSED" at all with their low frequency vibe, rudeness, low-ball offers, and lack of service! I walked in the door and none of the staff looked at me and said, "Hello, we'll be with you in a moment". There were only two customers in the store being attended to with two other people behind the counter. After about 15mins of waiting and looking at what they had, the older blonde lady, "Barb", behind the counter, said, "Can I help you?" I replied, "Yes, I'm looking to possibly sell my silver and was wondering what you're offering to purchase it?". She came back with a very flip and low-ball answer, "$69/oz!" and quickly walked away to the other end of the counter without even looking at me in the eye! So, she offered me $69/oz when the spot price was at $85.94/oz (that's $17/oz back of spot!). So, I knew right away I was just wasting my time here. I figured I'd give her another chance and ask her how many 1oz silver coins would I need to swap to purchase your 1oz gold Buffalo. She came back with 76oz's of silver when the spot price was at $85.94/oz! So, it would've cost me $6,531.44 to purchase their 1oz gold buffalo when gold's price was at $4,926/oz. That's a ridiculous $1,605.44 premium! I said, "So, your business charges a "huge premium to sell" and a "huge premium to buy" when you do a simple silver to gold swap?" She replied in a very rude and condescending way, "WE HAVE TO MAKE MONEY!!!". I looked at her with a very puzzled look like she had either no common sense, didn't know what she was talking about, or was trying to take advantage of me. Then I kindly asked her, "What year is your 1oz gold Buffalos?" and she replied, "There's no date on them!" I replied, "Umm No, there's always a date stamped on 1oz gold Buffalos". Can you please look for me? So, she reluctantly opened the showcase like she was doing me a HUUUUUGE favor and told me the years. With their kind of treatment, and with their (pawn shop-like) low ball offers, I definitely won't be coming back here ever again and will continue doing my business at my local coin shop (which I have for many years) since I trust they won't "try to rip me off!" and treat their customers with much better dignity and respect! I really feel sorry for any folks that got the above treatment! Please know there are much better coin shops out there! This is not one of them!
