U S Currency & Coins

It’s a great place. They gave us an amazing deal better than what we had receive previously. We were in and out of there quick. I recommend them to anyone.I would have given it 6 stars if I could.

My 1st time and won't be the last. TJ was very patient with me. I brought in a huge collection. He taken his time to sort through them (by which didn't take long because of his experience). For the record. We would like to get as much as we can for our collection and such. But! We have to remember that he has a business to run and to make a living. (With myself being on both sides of the fence) I completely understand. I was pleased with my sale. Thank you TJ.

Im just getting into coins and silver and didn’t even know that We had a coin shop so close to us. I stopped by on Friday 6/26/26 after a doctors appointment to get some coins looked at. I ended up trading some for some silver and left with a lot more information about the coin collecting business. I got home and told my wife about it and we ended up going back that same day and buying more silver and getting more information. Mr. Stoute was more than willing to help in anyway he could, and made us feel welcomed. We will be going back a lot more to add to our collection.

Highly Recommend – Welcoming Spot for Beginners and Collectors Alike! I stopped by yesterday for my first visit and had a wonderful experience. This shop is a true gem for anyone interested in rare coins, currency, gold, silver, and other precious metals. The owner was incredibly kind and patient with me — I’m brand new to stacking metals and felt pretty green walking in. He took the time to explain things clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel completely comfortable even though I don’t know much yet. It was refreshing to receive such personal, helpful service instead of feeling rushed or talked down to. If you’re just getting started or you’re a seasoned collector, this is the kind of place you want to do business with. I’ll definitely be back!

I brought in some old silver I had been holding onto for years, I was pleased at the kind treatment and payment was very close to what I expected.

Wow! This is a family business that has the kind of people you want to interact with. They were so nice and super helpful. We will be back!

Highly recommended. Mr. Stoute is very knowledgeable. We had a great experience and will definitely be back.

5 star review

I love this place . Been there 3-4 times each time they are friendly and helpful.

US Rare Coin & Currency is a must see! Located in the heart of downtown Meridian. They have a huge assortment of coins, paper money, gold, silver, and SO much more! The owners are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend to check them out!

The nerve of the owner of this place! What utter just respectful gall from these people...to actually help you!! Good experience. Nice store. Drove 1.5 hours to get there, which was worth the drive. He took the time to look through what I brought and noted the more potentially valuable pieces. Would not hesitate to come back in the future.

Wonderful experience at this coin shop, will be going back soon. Mr. Paul was friendly, helpful and excited to show items to me that he knew from our conversation that I’d enjoy. I was wide eyed with everything he showed me as well as what was on display. There is a considerable amount of inventory, all items are presented nicely, many in PCGS and NGC graded slabs but not all. Various questions were answered and my ignorance on certain items/subjects was not frowned upon or snickered at but instead were answered with enthusiasm and eye to eye. I could have stayed for hours talking and looking over everything but I was called by my wife who was doing her own shopping down the road to come pick her up. I bought a beautiful 2021 Silver Eagle BU Type 2 along with an airtight case at a very reasonable price which easily competes if not out does any of the online dealers I’ve come across; best of all I walked out with my purchase in hand and was able to see/pick the item I wanted from the display case. A very very comfortable, friendly and pleasant environment, where you feel at ease as opposed to many coin shops I’ve been to in the past. This is an A+ business with great service. You will have no regrets visiting or doing business here.

I recently sold some coins here and had an excellent experience. This family-owned business is run by owners who are fair, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They explained everything clearly, and their pricing and explanations were transparent and reasonable. The shop itself is a real gem in the Southeast US, with a fascinating selection of coins and historical memorabilia. The surrounding area in downtown Meridian, MS is also a great place to visit and explore if you are visiting in person. Thank you both for such a positive experience.
