They deliver a product when they say they're going to deliver. if it's going to be late so inform the person that ordered that product. A great place to visit and shop.
Very cool store, a lot more than coins . friendly staff and good prices. and a nice home town atmosphere.
Shiretown is always great for supplies and buying wax by the case/box. Galen no longer deals in singles but has almost anything you'd want to rip!
After taking in some gold that I wanted to sell and being given an offer that was much lower than I felt it was worth, I thanked the owner and said I thought I would keep it. He told me that no one else would paye any more for it, to which I responded that was probably true but that I would rather keep it for that price. I thanked him for his time and started to leave. I was then informed that I owed him 20 dollars for an appraisal. I paid him his $20, told him I thought it was bad business and left. The next day I was given almost 20 percent more from another dealer HSC auctions in town. I have spent 3 years purchasing various things from shiretown coins as well as cleaning the snow from this man's sidewalk for free just to be neighborly. Needless to say I will not spend another dime in his store. I cannot imagine any circumstances where you want to buy something and make a low ball offer that is declined and then want to charge the seller for appraising there property. Especially when you only verified that they had exactly what they said they had.
The elderly gentleman that owns and operates this shop NEEDS to get out of the business! He is one of the most arrogant, rude, disrespectful, and insulting business owners I have EVER encountered! I'm not sure if it's just that age has brought him to this place or if he's always had this horrific disposition. Either way...regardless of his inventory of antiques and collectibles I wouldn't send my worst enemy into his establishment!
