I wasn't satisfied with the offer I got on my silver dollars. I will check around/explore other options.

Leroy is fair and honest. It helps to have some idea of what you have and the market before asking for the moon. I have been dealing here many years and have always been satisfied.

My first impression of Mr. Jones was incredibly pleasant. He kindly inquired about the specific items I was looking for and went above and beyond to provide them. It was evident that he genuinely cared about meeting the needs of his customers. I firmly believe that if you treat him with kindness, he will reciprocate it indefinitely. I am definitely planning to revisit this place regularly, aiming for at least four times a month if possible.

Disappointing Visit – Not Ideal for Serious Collectors or Beginners. My visit to Aberdeen Coin Gallery was, unfortunately, quite underwhelming. I had hoped to find a knowledgeable expert who could provide insight into coins and currency, but that wasn’t the case. To start, parking is limited and awkward—just a few tight spots uncomfortably close to a busy road. Once you arrive, you can’t just walk in; you have to be let inside, which immediately sets a closed-off tone. The “shop” itself is more like a small, dim room lacking warmth or a welcoming atmosphere. The gentleman who assisted me had some surface-level knowledge but offered little in terms of explanation or enthusiasm. There was no effort to educate or engage in any meaningful conversation about the coins I had. For anyone looking to research, get coins graded, or even just understand their value, this isn’t the place. If you’re new to coin collecting and feeling unsure of where to begin, I strongly recommend skipping this stop. Instead, consider: Reading a reputable coin booklet or guide Watching educational coin videos Visiting a variety of local shops for comparison Browsing reputable coin auctions Checking grading info from trusted sources like PCGS Sadly, I left feeling like I’d wasted my time—time I wish I could reclaim. This gallery might serve a very narrow purpose for seasoned buyers who know exactly what they want, but for most, it’s simply not worth the trip.

I took my daughter there today. We have been doing coin roll searches for a couple years. We were missing 3 wheat pennies to fill the 1941-1970 book. I told Leroy about what we do and just wanted to see if he had the three we needed. He had them and was very nice. We got them at a very reasonable price. He originally said that if they were for my little girl he would t charge me for the 3 pennies. None of them were anything special. I told him I couldn't do that. I needed to give something for them. He was great to deal with and to talk to. My daughter was very happy when we left and insisted that we leave good review and hopefully send some new business his way.
