The customer service and professionalism is amazing. They have basically everything that I have wanted at amazing prices. The owner works with you to give you fair prices for items you want to purchase as well as fair selling prices he offers for your items you want to sell or pawn. Also the condition and quality of the merchandise is really great. I think he had a new Keurig in store, still in the box for 100 bucks....Thanks, I love my iPad!!
I purchased a laptop for $260 and I was told that it wasn’t even worth anything? I can clearly see IMO they don’t know the value of a dollar and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Instead of trying to negotiate and broker a deal. I was told that my item is basically worthless! The lady was extremely unprofessional and unwilling to negotiate! DO NOT GO TO 5 MILE PAWN FOR BUSINESS!

As a small-business owner who runs a lighting company, I occasionally have extra fixtures and rigs I’m not using....but the thought of walking into a pawn shop, not knowing a thing about how it works, had me about ready to turn around. From the moment I stepped up to the counter, though, all that anxiety melted away. There was a warm, confident woman greeting me, a middle-aged gentleman with decades of experience sizing up my gear, and a young guy who walked me through every step of the paperwork. None of that rushed, “you’re just another customer” vibe you get elsewhere. Instead, they treated me like a partner, to make you understand why in ballpoints: • They asked genuine questions about my lighting equipment and their condition. • They explained how the appraisal and loan process works....no confusing jargon, no hidden fees...in black and white • They even made a few professional suggestions on when it might be smarter to sell versus pawn and pay on things I’ve been to another pawn shop not too far from here...not saying any name, and I’ll never go back. At 5 Mile Pawn, I felt genuine respect for my time and my business. They already call me “the Light Guy” around the shop, which cracks me up....and somehow makes me feel like a regular, not a first-timer. If there were more than five stars, I’d give them ten....and a half. Whether you’re pawning tools, electronics, jewelry, or...like me....high-end lighting gear, you’ll be in excellent hands at 5 Mile Pawn. I wouldn’t walk through any other door in Jessup. Best shop I’ve been to. Brought my apple laptop in for a loan and they offered more than what I asked for. When I was a few days late for the loan payment they still gave me the choice to extend the loan or get it back for the original contract agreement which saved me big time. Clean and organized shop. The only one I like going into.
