I have been going to Pittsfield precious metals for about 2 years now, I bought both mine and my wife's wedding bands, and a few anniversary gifts as well. You WILL NOT find a friendlier, more knowledgeable and fair pair of people in this industry. The best prices in town for gold and diamonds by far. If you're considering getting engaged , married, or you just want to buy someone something special, I'm sure they have something that fits your budget and taste. They know us by name and we plan on going to them forever.

This was my first experience with PPM. I do a bit of reselling on the weekends and had a nice find from a storage unit. I originally took them to RJ's to be appraised. He gave me a figure and advised me to try to get more from PPM because of the stones. I heard a lot of negative things about PPM, but decided to check it out. Customer service was great and transparent. Very blunt and honest which I really appreciate. I can see the reason for the negative reviews. I speculate a lot of unsavory characters try to get rid of things there. If you're in need to get rid of legitimate items, I would definitely recommend checking them out. The only negative is that I was offered $25 below gold market. I still took it versus driving back and forth. Overall, great experience, and I would recommend her as long as it is legitimate business! Owner knows her stuff and is honest about it which may offend some sensitive people.

I went in there with a rather large sum of money to buy silver bullion. First thing in the door she was rude because the doorbell kept going off long after I entered the door, not my fault, but interrupting her phone call. Then I asked her how much she sells silver over spot. What the coast of junk silver and other normal questions so I could get a feel if she was going to be willing to negotiate . I then grab my phone to check the spot price of silver. She then yells at me scolded me like a child to put my phone away. Apparently having a phone in her business is not aloud. I can understand not wanting people to take pictures and taking video or talk on the phone while she’s trying to conduct business but what I was doing had everything to do with the business. Anyway, I left with my money and my patronage. Pictures are part my humble collection. I was hoping to find a good dealer in the area that had nice stuff I guess I’ll have to go out of the area.

Not friendly, made me feel unwelcome and like they thought I was a junkie or something. They don’t test the gold you bring in front of you which felt sketchy upon later thought this was my first time selling jewelry to a store and overall left a bad taste in my mouth. It diminished my excitement being new to collecting coins. I wanted to buy too after I sold but felt like I was wrong for being there and just needed to get out. Did nothing to build trust or a relationship with a new customer needless to say I’ll never go back.

Very kind people and helped us out a lot! Made good conversation and were very great while we were here. Even cleaned a ring that was deemed to be worth nothing free of charge just so it would look a little nicer. Great people and great business
