I was looking for a ring for my wife and a friend recommended Lou at Colonial. Thank God. This is an area I know very little about and Lou guided me through the process flawlessly. He went out of his way to help me more than once. He’s a stand up guy in an ocean full of sharks. My wife loves the ring. I’m going to throw Lou a parade.

Their shop has moved locations, and is now on the 5th floor of the Jewelers Building, room 524. I had a wonderful experience there, the owner was willing to explain the history of coins that I had questions about, and researched a fair price for a coin neither of us were sure on the value of. I will definitely be coming back if I ever find myself in Boston again!

Place is upstairs 5th floor in the building. Do not go to back where google directions takes you. Awesome little shop. Guy was knowledgeable and friendly. I love traveling and picking up a related coin from the area, and he helped me find what I was looking for (a few specific commemorative silver half-dollars from early-1900s).

Very nice worker showed us some of his best coins. Amazing things to look at even has a bill engraved by Paul Revere!! I really sugest if you like history. But if you are at the front door and it is locked then make sure to press the blue buzer

I was very disappointed with the service, store. I arrived and was told to come back in 5 minutes so he could set up the counter. I returned and was told to wait another 2 minutes. I didn't see anything interesting items or attractive prices. As I have my own numismatic store, I believe that customer service needs to improve significantly and the store display or window should have more variety.
