Shops like La Belle Nouvelle Orleans are the reason you travel and really illustrate what is so great about America. To say my wife and I were window shopping on Magazine Street that day is an understatement, but we both are glad we wondered into Fernando's store. When the owner Fernando approached us little did I know how much we would have in common. Ironically our daughter's boyfriend shares Fernando's name and then we learned they are both from Argentina. What happened next was a heart felt conversation that made our day and although we didn't purchase anything that day his conversation that day made us feel welcome and proud in the diversity of New Orleans and our Country.

Most unique shop on Magazine St by far. I’ve never seen such a collection of cool old new orleans stuff … and not one thing mass produced in China. The owner, Fernando was awesome too. Super helpful really old guy, lots of knowledge & stories. Highly recommend this place.

Don’t miss this amazing, magical corner of New Orleans! This antique store is filled to the brim with some of the most interesting curios you will ever see. From post mortem photography, to eclectic local art. Owner Fernando is a Nola treasure, welcoming visitors from all over the world, of many languages and nationalities, to peer at his marvelous curation. Truly a Magazine Street gem. Its places like this that make New Orleans a destination for shoppers and dreamers. Food for the collector, and food for the artist looking for inspiration ❤️

Our son recommended this lovely place to us since he had been there and thought that we might like it as well. We're glad he did. We had a good time just browsing and checking out the selection of unique items for sale. Beyond that the owner was so friendly and helpful in a way that was comfortable and relaxed, which always makes a browsing or shopping experience that much nicer. In fact, my wife went back a second time by herself and commented afterward how gracious and kind the owner was with answering questions and helping her to find a gift for her sister's birthday. They promptly shipped our items for us and we received them well packed and in good order. My wife is going back to New Orleans on a girls trip next spring and plans to go check out what new items they may have then. Obviously, we would recommend it as a place to check out if you are in New Orleans.
