Poor boy pawn shop is the best all around pawn shop and have grate deals on guns and more. They are frendly and polite and fun to talk to. Give them a call. You'll not go to another pawn shop like them.
I have done multiple transactions at this store and they have always been good to me. They have akways helped me find the right item for me, they've lowered the price a hair a time or two on guns for me. And they've been times I needed layaway longer than the standard time frame and they have always worked with me on that. This is one store I really like and have bought several items from and will continue to do business with them.
Worst FFL I've ever had the displeasure of attempting to do business with. Was denied service as an Honorably Discharged Disabled War Veteran. Does not know the law or even what a 4473 says. Made false claims to the gun store I ordered from. Made up arbitrary wait period rules and was belligerent and not listen to reason or look at my documentation or the law, or even call and consult his ATF auditor on the matter. Not a pro 2A establishment IMHO.
My son stole money from us and bought a guitar at Poor Boys in Paintsville. I took the guitar back to see if we could get something back. The man said there is zero return policy… understandable. I asked if we could sale it back. There is nothing wrong with the guitar but he said the neck was off the body so he couldn’t buy it back! ALL ELECTRIC GUITARS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME WAY. I told him I wasn’t doing business there again. He then verbally attacked me that I should teach my kid not to be a theft. I came in with no animosity or aggression. I said what I said with respect and no hostility. He knows I was right. His only recourse is personal attacks.
Best gun and pawn shop in Eastern Kentucky. They treat you like family and always have the best deals.
