Super friendly and explained the process

First visit -- Went to Ron for a quote on buying a 14k gold 20 inch necklace. I had received a quote from State Street Jewelers and wanted to get a second opinion. He gave me his offer (was $3 higher) and then asked me if I was in a hurry to sell. I was not. He advised me to wait until gold prices went up and get a better price. Honest and excellent advice! I did wait, prices went up and I went back to Ron -- his higher offer was very fair and I accepted. Second visit - I went to Ron to see if he wanted to buy my diamond stud earrings. Again - he offered great advice. I had a recent appraisal and he said if I tried FB Marketplace, I could probably get XX. I asked what he would offer on the spot, he stated his price and I accepted his offer. Very pleased with my experience -- I will gladly do business with Ron again!

I declined his offer of 90% spot price when gold was trending higher in price. No doubt he would sell it for 5% over spot immediately. Get better prices for selling precious metals at any local coin dealer.
