Don't sell silver to this guy. He will lowball you and he'll be rude about it. He told an exagerated story about the refineries not buying silver (which is half true) and how he can't pay even close to spot (also half true). He offered $20 under spot price. You can find shops that are offering $7 to $8 under spot, but many shops in Illinois are not buying anything. Michigan and Wisconsin shops are buying for better prices. Call around for the best price to sell. You may have to go out of state though.

The overweight man that work there is beyond rude. I brought in 2 pieces to be looked at. He asked me of they were real and he threw them back at me. I tried to ask him a couple questions and he became aggressive and rude. I would not reccomend this place based on my negative experience. I dont expect to be treated like royalty when I visit a business, just plain decent human respect is enough for me. That guy.... dont got it.

Great experience. James (I think) and his father are both very knowledgeable and honest. I didn’t know how much I had until they honestly told me. Highly recommend.

About 12 years ago I took what my mother told me was a gold coin into this shop to see if he could tell me it's value. He took a quick look and told me it was not gold but was a bronze coin. I was highly skeptical and since it had belonged to my mother, I kept it. Now, years later, with my own internet research, I found the "bronze coin" is a 1899 fine GOLD Queen Victorian Full Sovereign worth over $1,500. It was minted in Melbourne Australia and is the exact size and weight of the full GOLD sovereign. It looks NOTHING like the bronze penny he said it was. Beware this shop. He either is not the expert he claims to be or he was trying to cheat me! Momma knew best!

The shop owner here is uncharismatic and pompous. Was barely in the shop with my family for all but two minutes and he didn’t even bother to be a proper shop keeper and leave his desk/computer to go over what he had in his case, or any of his stock that he didn’t have on the floor. If you don’t want to deal with the general public, then sell online. You’d be doing yourself a disservice to even venture into this coin shop, you’re better off going elsewhere. Would give zero stars if it were possible.
