The guy there is greedy. He tried to over charge me for a silver coin. Don’t waste your time or money there. They do try and rip you off. Especially if you don’t know.

I needed to sell some of my gold and silver. Went to two other shops in the Fox Valley area before stopping here. Kane County coins gave me the best offer for my gold and silver. Nice honest family-owned shop! Highly recommend!! They also sell guns!

I have visited this shop twice now in the past few months and walked away with a stack of new coins each time. They have a great selection of all kinds of things, but I came specifically for the coins and paper money. They took over an hour to show me anything I wanted to see in the case. Just incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Great variety of inventory. I only wish the shop was a little closer to home so I could visit more often!

This is hands down the best family owned shop in the county for all of your silver, gold, and collectible coin needs and wants! I’d wager one of the best in Northern IL. They are also an FFL and provide quick and quality transfers! If you’re not transferring anything in state, they have a great selection of firearms in store for you. I have always received top notch service here and so has every one I know. Please considering visiting this location, you will NOT be disappointed.

The owners are amazing. They treat their customers like they are family. They are honest and fair - whether dealing with precious metals or firearms. We are very lucky to have come across their store. They are undergoing construction right now to expand their space. I hope all current and future customers are patient and understanding of the issues that arise during construction. I would give Kane County Coins 10 stars if I could!
