Overdue on leaving a review for this great business! For my wife and I, the first time doing any type of gold transaction. Found a lot of places in/around Chicago, but most had mixed reviews and I found through Reddit that small town shops like these are just better to deal with overall, especially over the long term. I was glad to find this shop in McHenry County. Called and spoke with Albert on the phone in the morning and got a same day appointment. He even called us later to let us know someone else cancelled if we wanted to come in sooner which worked out even better for us! The whole appointment was seamless, Albert explained the process and what they were doing - full transparency. Their location is small, but it’s built for personalized attention with clients (appointment required) and is very secure. In the end, the appraisal they came back with was better than we had expected. I really appreciated the honesty and transparency. We had our daughter with us too and there was a little table to keep her occupied and she even got a parting gift from Albert which was very thoughtful! Talking with Albert I actually walked away with more knowledge about what to look into for investment and what to watch out for when buying/selling. There aren’t many business like this one left - small, trustworthy/honest and friendly.
