Friendly staff, fair prices.
My experience with these two gentlemen was above anything that I had with other dealers. Both of them answered my questions that I had and gave me insight on what to look for. Great people I will be going back in the future.
Very helpful, honest, and welcoming for starters. Straight to the point without sugar coating anything. I'd highly recommend checking this place out. Great deals, people, and conversation. It's definitely one of the best shops I've been to hands down.
Stopped in from out of town and was blown away by the shop. It’s located in an old bank, complete with teller windows and a vault. Definitely the coolest store I’ve been in. Everyone there was knowledgeable and helpful. Got to hold some awesome coins from the owner’s personal collection. The selection of Morgan dollars, especially in the older style holders was top notch. Was very happy with the few purchases I made and will make sure to stop by when I’m back in town. Well worth the trip!
Called and asked about Illinois rules concerning gold and silver because it affects the pricing on what they can buy and sell it at. Also to check prices today To see if I should get some more. Some states will not tax gold and silver at all. Some will not tax bullion, but will tax everything else. The more regulations on something the more it costs. He replies with “how would I know? “ If you don’t know, you shouldn’t be running a coin shop. I guess I will have to go find another place to buy from. I hear a short trip over to Missouri. if you buy enough, you can save a lot to offset the travel cost.
Dollar and Cents Coin Shop is a gem! The gentleman was incredibly friendly and fair—he took the time to answer my questions and made me feel welcome. They carry a great selection of coins/bullion and the pricing is competitive. Note that they’re cash or check only, but there’s an ATM just around the corner if you need it. Highly recommend this shop to any beginners.
