I had a few items remaining from my mother's estate from many years ago and some jewelry that was best converted into dollars rather than sitting--and when I found out my longtime friend Angie, a true vintage and valuation savant/guru, was working with Sam at Carat 24 on S. Broadway in Boise, I knew that was the place to go. In prior years, I had gone to another highly regarded exchange/dealer though Carat 24 takes it to entirely new heights! Both Angie and Sam were incredibly helpful and transparent about how value is assessed making it easy for me to decide that this was the company to deal with. This "luxury pawn" and gold/silver/coin/collectible exchange with consignment options is definitely the place to go. Their knowledge and professionalism is exceptional, and they clearly understand that it can be somewhat hard to part with things to which you may have a sentimental attachment. It's a zero-pressure environment, and it looked as if they had quite a broad array of items to buy, as well. Carat 24 (the one on Broadway is the only location with which I've dealt) is definitely my go-to recommendation for the future. BTW, the electronic message board outside the store has "Angie is the best" as one of its messages, and I agree though they should have a "Sam is the best" rotating through, too. : )
