Get Found on Bing & Google

A step-by-step guide to claiming your local business listings — and keeping them consistent with your US Coin Shows dealer page.

If you run a storefront, attend shows in person, or buy and sell coins face-to-face, you're a real local business — and that means you're eligible for free local listings on Bing Places and Google Business Profile. These listings put your business on the map (literally) for searches like "coin dealer near me," and they feed the local results that AI assistants like Copilot and ChatGPT increasingly pull from when someone asks where to buy or sell coins nearby.

1. Keep your details consistent

Before you claim anything, have your Name, Address, and Phone number (NAP) ready — and use the exact same version everywhere. Copy it directly from your US Coin Shows dealer profile rather than retyping it, so there's no risk of a stray abbreviation or old suite number creating a mismatch.

2. Claim your Bing Places listing

Bing Places is free and usually the quicker of the two to set up. Search for your business name on Bing Maps first — if a listing already exists (sometimes created automatically), claim it; otherwise create a new one at Bing Places for Business.

  • Business name, address, and phone: exactly as they appear on your US Coin Shows dealer page.
  • Category: choose the closest match — "Coin Dealer" or "Collectibles Store" if offered, otherwise "Antique Store" or a general retail category.
  • Website: your own site if you have one. If you don't, use your US Coin Shows dealer page URL — it's a real page describing your business, hours, and specialties.

3. Claim your Google Business Profile

Same process, same rule: identical NAP. Google is stricter about verification (usually a postcard or phone call to your business address), so budget a few extra days for that step. The website field follows the same logic as Bing — your own site if you have one, your dealer page if you don't.

4. Link back the other direction

If you have your own website, make sure it's saved under Website in your dealer profile. That closes the loop: your US Coin Shows page points to your site, and your Bing/Google listings point to the same NAP — every profile reinforces the others instead of standing alone.

5. Recheck periodically

If you move, change your phone number, or update your hours, update all three places — your dealer profile, Bing Places, and Google Business Profile — at the same time. A stale listing is worse than no listing.
