Uncle Davey's is an amazing little shop; a true gem in Jacksonville! My son wanted to be a soldier for Halloween and they had just what we needed to complete his costumer, a period correct rifle. He was simply elated! We also just go by to look at their selection of antiques and collectibles as well as some gifts for the collectors in your life. Always friendly and reasonably priced from what I can tell! Highly recommend!

Dave has it all, a library of books, civil war money, guns, swords, Autographs, art and more. He’s a wealth of information and will spend as much time as you want answering questions and educating you. He’s truly passionate about what he does and loves to share. We needed up with a special purchase for a great price and will be back in touch! So glad we got to visit in person, well worth it. There are items outside of the civil war period but it’s mostly that timeframe. He ships to so visit the website as well! I saw 4 original Dickens books as well as many others I wanted to take home.

Unbelievable selection of authentic items from the Civil War. The owner definitely has a passion for history and is very friendly and informative. I would recommend calling from anywhere in the country if you're interested in purchasing, he's very accommodating. A visit is also warranted for history and Civil War Buffs if you are ever in the area.

I took my 80 year old father in law to Uncle Davey's and I cannot say enough good things about this place. It really made dad's day. The history inside this building is amazing and the quality surpasses most museums I have ever seen. I cannot wait to go back again.
