I didn't know what to expect due to the reviews I saw here, but was shocked to find that staff approachable, kind, and helpful. It was such a positive atmosphere that, when the store was slow, I hung out for a few minutes and chatted with them about movies. I met the so-called mean lady at the front counter. Again, not as advertised. She was kind and helpful. I had a question and they went out of their way to get an answer. They even called their boss who was not in the store. I will do business there again. After my experience there, I don't trust those other reviews.
I recently purchased on Xbox One from this shop and a friend of mine picked it up for me. The Xbox is exactly as it was listed, exactly as it was pictured, it was in great working order and not a piece of junk, the price was great, the service was great, the atmosphere did not disturb my friends sinuses, the communication I had online between myself and this shop was really good. All went well and I would recommend them to anyone.
I have to say that shopping at pawn shops is fairly new to me. The first time I set foot in a pawn shop was within the first year I was in Jacksonville, 2022. I purchased a desk fan and heater. Well I've been inside The Gold & Silver Shop many times now. I've made a few purchases and intend on being there tomorrow to make yet another purchase. It's a small shop really not much to it but I've found great merchandise at an outstanding prices. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I enjoy giving them my business. So whenever I really need to budget for an item I go here. Chances are they'll have what I'm shopping for. You should try it out!
Great shop, friendly staff, and easy to work with. I purchased an Xbox from them and they tested it right in front of me to show that it was in working condition before I left.
Pawned a laptop here not long ago. I found from logs, that it had been used nearly the entire time it was there and, was poorly maintained, the factory seal broken, and was returned with a different battery, as the owner assured medium the laptop hadn't been used. If you pawn anything here, take pictures of your item inside and out prior. I early pawned an xbox contoller to them but both XBOX1S they had ON SALE didnt work. These people are shady.
